We have the most awesome staff!!! Today was one of THOSE days. Anything that could have gone wrong did. Patients were unavoidably late, appointments ran long, we had several walk in emergencies including broken front teeth that needed to be fixed today, equipment went down, lab cases did not deliver as expected, etc.
In addition to all that, we were also slightly understaffed. Did any of this stop my staff?? Oh no! They were on top of things ALL DAY and still provided the care and service is expected from them!!!
Caroline who works at the front desk and is applying to dental school, stepped in and was my assistant for more than one procedure. Jennifer, who works at the front desk, but is in the process of being trained as an assistant, jumped in and sat some patients for us and got them comfortable. Tristan and Angela basically ran 4 chairs between the two of them and (typically they only run 1) and helped guide me to the patients that were ready and what needed to be done. Nikki and Tracie ran the front desk by themselves; fielding phone calls and helping patients get in and out of the office, which is a job usually 4 people handle.
All of our patients were seen and everyone got taken care of. There is no way I could have done it without them! So the next time you visit the office, be sure to give them a pat on the back for me.
