As a parent however, you might be concerned about whether or not your teen will remember to wear the aligners as often as they should. Lets face it, straightening teeth can be expensive. You don’t want to pay a lot of money for something that won’t be effective.
What you might not know, is that Invisalign Teen® is designed specifically with busy, sometimes forgetful teens in mind. Invisalign Teen® aligners come with a special sensor that is attached to each set of aligner trays. The sensor is designed to essentially “wear out” over time. This allows Dr. Bell and Dr. Franklin to keep tabs on whether or not the aligners are being worn as often as they should for successful treatment.
We recommend that you bring your teen in for an Invisalign® consultation. Both Dr. Franklin and Dr. Bell offer Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen® treatment in our Holly Springs office. Either Dr. can sit down with your family and discuss whether or not this kind of treatment plan would be good for your teen. If it will be a good fit, we can also provide you with a clear estimate up front of what your son or daughter’s treatment plan would cost, so you can compare it to the cost of regular braces before you make a decision.
