Each year, local golfers and businesses gather at Devil’s Ridge for a day of golf, fun and fellowship, all for a wonderful cause. Pretty in Pink Foundation serves people diagnosed with breast cancer who have limited health insurance benefits, or in many cases, no health insurance at all. In North Carolina, nearly 20% of the women have no health insurance coverage and more than 14% live at or below the federal poverty level (FPL). Adding to the statistical impact is that nearly 1/3 of North Carolinian households are managed by single or divorced women with limited financial resources.
Signature Family Dentistry is proud to take part in this event each year and to support the Pretty in Pink Foundation. Last year the event was rained out before golfers could finish, but a great time was still had by all. This year, mother nature offered a lovely day for golf with just the right amount of breeze. We’re thankful to Pat B., who volunteered to golf on behalf of SFD, so Dr. Bell and Dr. Franklin could keep the office open and keep your pearly whites healthy and clean!
